Technology strategy & consulting

Start with the problem. Then choose the technology.

We look at how your business wins work, delivers it, and gets paid, and find where revenue slips away, costs hide, and capacity goes unused. Then we help you decide what to change and which technology is worth adding.

Technology consulting for small and growing businesses in Orange County: assessments, AI readiness, software selection, and implementation planning.

Talk through a challenge

Where it can help

Business & technology assessments

Trace how work moves from first inquiry to final invoice. Find the bottlenecks, the handoffs that lose information, and the places your team is quietly filling gaps by hand.

Revenue & profitability opportunities

Look for missed follow-ups, underpriced services, and work that consumes more labor than it earns. These problems often stay invisible until data from separate systems is put side by side.

AI opportunity discovery & readiness

Identify where AI can do meaningful work in your business, and what needs to be in place first: reliable information, clear processes, and the right review points.

Technology selection & evaluation

Compare platforms, integrations, and custom options against how your team actually works, including total cost, fit, and what it takes to run them.

Solution architecture & design

Define how the recommended solution fits together: the systems involved, how information moves between them, who uses it, and how it will be supported.

Implementation planning & roadmaps

Sequence the work by impact, cost, feasibility, and time to value, so early phases pay off on their own and later ones build on them.

An illustrative assessment of a fictional company. The figures are invented for this example. Real findings depend on your data and are confirmed with your team before anything is recommended.

Test the idea before expanding it.

Proof-of-concept development puts a promising idea in front of real data and real users at a small scale. It shows what works, what it would cost to run, and whether it deserves a larger investment.

How we approach it

We start with the business, not a product pitch. We talk with the people doing the work, review the data your systems already hold, and keep a clear line between what we observed and what still needs to be confirmed.

Findings are prioritized by business impact, implementation cost, technical feasibility, data availability, and time to value. Some recommendations are process changes or better use of software you already own; others call for integration, automation, AI, or custom development. You keep the findings and the plan either way.

When it’s a good fit

  • Growth has stalled or margins have narrowed, and the cause is not obvious.
  • Your team is busy, but it is hard to say where the time actually goes.
  • You are weighing AI or a significant software investment and want an independent view first.
  • Customer, sales, and operational information lives in systems that do not talk to each other.

A few common questions

Do we have to hire FrameTen to implement the recommendations?

No. The findings and plan are yours to keep. You can implement them with your own team or existing vendors, or ask us to help.

Will you recommend AI?

When it is the strongest option. AI is one tool among several, and the recommendation follows the problem.

What do you need from us?

Time with the people who do the work, access to the relevant systems or data exports, and clarity on what matters most to the business. Scope and access are agreed before we start.

How long does an assessment take?

It depends on the size of the business and the question. A focused review of one area may take a few conversations; a broader assessment takes longer.
